In a raid by RAB-12, Sirajganj, 4 drug dealers were arrested along with 61 kg of marijuana and 2 private cars were seized while transporting narcotics in private cars.
In continuation of this, under the direction of Mohammad Kamruzzaman PPM, Captain RAB-12, Sirajganj and with the cooperation of RAB's Intelligence Wing, a smart operation team of RAB-12, Sadar Company conducted an anti-drug operation on the Dhaka-Rangpur highway in front of Jaks Foundation on Hatikumrul Road under Salanga Police Station of Sirajganj district at 01.45 pm on December 22 and was able to arrest 4 drug dealers along with 61 kg of marijuana. In addition, 6 mobile phones, 2 private cars and 4,800 taka in cash used for transporting and buying and selling marijuana were seized from them.
The arrested accused are Md. Humayun Kabir (42), father-deceased Belal Hossain, resident of Nimdhi, Md. Al Amin (30), (driver), father-Md. Alam, resident of Indrakul, both police stations-Baufal, district-Patuakhali, Md. Jewel Bepari (32), father-Md. Siraj Bepari, resident of Char Fashion, police station-Char Fashion, district-Bhola, Md. Farid (30), (driver), father-deceased Shahidullah, resident of Doyara Ekatari, police station-Shaharasthi, district-Chandpur.
Initial interrogation revealed that the accused had been buying and selling marijuana for a long time, behind the scenes, by transporting it from different districts of Rangpur division to different districts of the country, including the capital Dhaka, in their own private cars.

A case has been filed against the arrested accused at Salanga Police Station under the Narcotics Control Act, 2018.
